The "law of probability" would dictate that there are other earths in other solar systems with similar life-friendly conditions or that some forms of life don't require all the conditions that earth animals and plants require. I would find it very odd in deed if out of the billions of solar systems, this is the only one with conscious life.

He also does not explain all of the negative lifeforms and conditions that DO threaten life on earth like: viruses, cancers, deadly bacteria, volcano's, earthquakes, meteor strikes, solar flares, black holes, etc. not to mention ultraviolet rays from the sun. Nor does he mention collisions of heavenly bodies, explosions and implosions of entire solar systems. So the Universe is not entirely a life-supportive, friendly place. Why would a Deity have created all of those forces that are antithetical to life ??? Are we, in fact, here in spite of all of those deterrents ???

He discusses the complexity of genetics and how wondrously all life is made. and it truly IS miraculous. The miracle of conception and birth; even the lesser miracles of plants sowing their own seeds and pollination are a wonderment. But then all of that complex engineering can be destroyed in a moment by a morsel of food swallowed incorrectly or an air bubble in a vein or artery or a tiny blood-clot. Then that complex human machine can be turned into a paraplegic vegetable in an instant, or worse yet, into a dead and decomposing corpse. So one wonders why "Intelligence" would make life and consciousness so fragile. Normally, wouldn't a designer try to make things that last and endure? And yet scientists tell us that ovr 90% of life forms that have existed on this planet are now extinct and were extinct long before man or "Adam and Eve".

And if Man, is indeed, the "crown of creation", then why does a Sequoia tree live for a thousand years, a tortoise for 150 years and man for 75-85 years ????? It just doesn't make sense.

As the King in "The King and I" said to Anna: "Is a puzzlement !!!!"Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03754419762363582417noreply@blogger.com
